Younger Jenny

Here's some pictures of Mum as a student visiting Paris. She's on the right of the first picture, and in the middle on the second. Her friends are called Beck and Gina.

Here are Mum and Dad sitting in the garden at Winchester. David is pushing a wheelbarrow behind and Edith is getting afternoon tea ready.

This looks like Jenny's mum Edith again in the garden. Shame about the pillar of salt.

Here are Mark and Chrissie on their Christening day. From left to right, there is Brenda, Dave, Chrissie, Martin, Chris, Jenny, Mark, Michael, Peter and Anne. Mark and Chrissie are my cousins.

Martin Shallcross - Baby to Man!

Here are some picture of my Dad from a wee bairn, to when he met my Mum.

This is the youngest image I have of him. The early pictures were all taken in Alderbury where Dad was born.

In this one, Dad is three and a half, and my Aunt Ros is only one month old.

These were taken a few years afterwards.


I think this one is of Dad and Ros around 1948.

These two are of Aunt Ros and Terry. Ros' navy outfit -which previously was her mum's dressing gown, cut in half, and then a grey knitted bit extended as she grew...(in 1946 clothes were very hard to come by!) interestingly you can see it with lots of grey knitting when she was much older!


This one looks like Daisy Shallcross (Martin's mum, on the right) with Ros and Maggie, their Irish live in maid on the left of the picture.

Here are some early pictures of Wallmead Farm, Tisbury. Dad was born in Alderbury, near Salisbury then moved to Tisbury around 1950. The first two picture below show the creation of the main doorway, and the removal of a fairly substantial wall from what is now the courtyard. Dad's study area was thatched back then, it is now tiled.
